Starting a new adventure.

This will be a year of charity crochet! Each month I will do a different project to benefit a different charity. I've only been crocheting for a short time so we'll see how this goes. It could get sticky!

  1. Very cool,I'm your first follower here on your brand new blog. Both ventures are fun, and rewarding...crocheting for charity is a very worthy thing to do, very very rewarding. Blogging is great fun and you'll be amazed how addictive it too can become. You'll meet other fun bloggers, some with the same interest at hand. It's great, people share patterns and offer tips and enjoy seeing each others crafts. So welcome to both the world of charity crocheting and the world of blogging. Keeping Track of your work on the blog is helpful not just for bookkeeping reason, but it helps you stay focused and involved. It can also help to energize you.

  2. Oophs forgot, I wanted to give you the directions on how to add Bridge and Beyond to your blog. Several ways to go about it. If you want to add the badge, which I believe is the most visual way, you go to my blog,
    1. you right click on the badge which gives you the option to save the picture to your computer.
    2. Go to your dashboard here on blogger and click design, you'll see the layout of your blog with options to add items....gadgets. Click Add Gadget, you'll see options. Your blog is probably set to the basic which is fine, scroll to the 10th option, add Picture, click the + button and a new window opens. It's pretty self explanatory. You'll see options to add a title and a caption, though you don't have too, you'll see a spot to add url, which would be the page you want to link to...ie, Bridge and Beyond who's url is http://homelessbridge.blogspot.com/ you can cut and paste from here or anytime from an url which appears in your location window on the top of your computer page.
    3. Next you'll see a little box that says shrink to fit, which is probably by default clicked with an x, if not, click it, the click save and you're done.
When you look at your blog you should see the badge and when you click on the badge it should take you to Bridge and Beyond Blog.

For title and captain you could add the blog title, or you can add Crochet for Charity in the title, and something like join us in the captain. Title of the blog, and my first charity crochet in the captain....just some ideas. You can always change your wording letter by editing. As a new blogger if you have questions, let me know happy to help.

  4. Visiting all Bridge and Beyond Donors...the season is upon us, asking all to gear up with their yarn to help those in need. Visits and comments to the blog have been down which hurts our placement. So, also asking everyone to visit, leave a comment, let us know you're there, and that you're with us.

Time to gear up and blog again

  5. I'm out and about blog visiting today from Bridge and Beyond. It's a New Year, 2013 and we've got lots of new things going on. Please hop over for a visit, spend some time, leave comments. That helps the blog you know. AND catch up on all the new information. Did you know we're not just knitters and crocheters anymore? Do you Quilt? Did you know we have a Facebook Group now? AND there's more. See you soon.

  6. Popping round to everyone on the blog list that's donated to let you know Bridge and Beyond is involved in a blogging challenge for the month of April. Would love you to visit, to read, to comment...that's all part of the challenge. Thank you for support. Even if you're not currently knitting or crocheting, or looming, the visits, reading, and commenting are helpful and appreciated.
